New video footage shows the progress made on the dive pool and tower at Christchurch’s Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre.
The construction of New Zealand’s largest indoor sport and aquatic facility is now more than 80 per cent complete.
The centre - which is bordered by Moorhouse Ave, Stewart, St Asaph and Antigua Sts - includes a 10-lane, 50m Olympic-sized pool and a dive pool, with a purpose-built "dry diving" space to allow harnessed divers to land in a foam pit.
Is the centre still on track?

The final polyurethane sealing work is due to be completed over the next few weeks.
Construction of the $696 million three-level facility is due to be completed in the second half of next year.
The centre will be owned and operated by Christchurch City Council. It plans to carry out a 12-week commissioning process, with the aim of opening the doors to the public by late 2025.
